What you need to know when using a through-type 4-wheel aligner for alignment
- 2021-04-27-

1. When using equipment to do 4-wheel alignment of the car, make sure that the 4-wheel alignment instrument of the repair shop is advanced and up to standard.

2. Make sure the vehicle data used by the maintenance personnel on your vehicle is accurate.

As vehicles are upgraded day by day, data is also upgraded, but the upgrade of positioning equipment is usually unable to keep up with the times. Some new cars can only be positioned by selecting some old cars. It is best to bring your car manual when positioning, because it contains the precise data of your car.

3. After the car positioning is completed, check the printed data.

The camber angle of the front wheels should be within the standard range. It should not be too different. Also, the left and right angles should not be too different, because this will cause your car to deviate. The caster angle is only around 8 degrees for some very high-end vehicles because they have excellent power steering systems. The toe value of the rear wheels of today's high-end cars is also adjustable. If it deviates too much from the standard value, it will also cause your car to deviate.

4. Vehicles that are not standard chassis, such as some SUVs, pickups, cars, etc., are equipped with torsion bar springs. After driving for a long time, the height of the left and right vehicles will be inconsistent. At this time, the torsion bar needs to be adjusted to the standard value.

5. Be careful not to set the height of the vehicle inconsistent with the factory standard value. If one side is low, the vehicle will run off the track; if the overall low is too low, the shock absorption effect will be lost, and if it is too high, your car will feel like it is floating when running. It is important to note that the front should not be high and the back should be low.
